...it sort of feels that way. I've spent the past week being sicker than I can remember in a long, long time. At first I thought it was a variation of S/O's "disease", but now I believe mine was some genetic mutation from the great beyond, or a really bad voodoo curse. I'm still not 100%, but I gettin' there...
I'm still on the hunt for the Plant Murderer, even though it was actually only attempted murder, as the plant is still somewhat alive. It still looks pretty bad though; all the leaves on top have fallen off---the poor thing looks like it had a bad comb-over.
Seriously, I did have a couple of really scary days while sick; one ENTIRE day of continuous coughing, so much so that I blacked out at one point. Yes folks, it's true; Robutussin does not cure everything. After another day of minimal breathing, I did get into the doctor, and was able to get sufficiently drugged up to carry on.
I am now ready for a week-end of what I hope to be peaceful healing. More bitchin' next week.

For future reference, do you know about Mucinex?
If you've got a flegmy (how the hell do you spell that word, anyway?? phlegm-y??) cough it's the best. It's the expectorant from Robitussin, but way stronger. Like, the equivalent of 4 doses of cough syrup.
It's in pill form, though, so there aren't the nasty side effects from the alcohol and whatever else is in the syrup.
Yeah, Kat, I use Mucinex, and it's really helpful---also got something from the Doc called "tessalon pearls"; if you ever get anything upper respiratory-ish, get on 'em. They're fabulous!
One thing I haven't made very clear on this blog, is that I get sick a lot because I have an Immune-deficiciency Disorder. It makes me especially vunerable to lung stuff, so that's why my entries are so full of phlegm (?) and snot lately. Sorry.
tessalon pearls??? that sounds so sci-fi! I've never heard of them...
also, I'm a singer, and we talk about phlegm more than any other group on earth, so I'm totally unphazed.
Yeah, isn't that weird? They're little gel-like beads, about as big as the head of a pin. You take a couple and NO coughing for 4 hours, and no yucky cough-syrup taste!
Hope you are feeling better now!
(PS: I've actually SEEN that movie! :P)
